2-THE-RESCUE FIRE TRUCK RENTALS: ABOUT US
There is something about a shiny red fire truck that gets everyone's attention. As a young boy, I spent countless days in the firehouse climbing on trucks and being around firemen. My Dad and Grandfather were firemen in New York; my Dad retired from New Rochelle's department and my Grandfather was in the FDNY at 41 Truck in the Bronx. Having seen used fire trucks for sale in the past, I thought this would be a great way to share some of the experiences that I had but on a more personal level.
The 1981 Ford Pierce Pumper is the first truck for 2 The Rescue and was purchased with personal funds to bring a unique service to the greater Raleigh area. This truck was in service for 20 years in the Washington, IL Volunteer Fire Department. My hope is that I can share with as many people as possible the excitement that these trucks gave me growing up and maybe even a few hours to pretend! As the first fire truck "rental" in the area, all occasions are welcome: birthday parties, corporate events, parades, tailgating, weddings and more.
